The EMF-Portal is a comprehensive scientific database from RWTH Aachen University that systematically summarizes research data on electromagnetic field effects, covering exposure sources, health effects, and standards, with over 48,000 publications in English and German.

The EMF-Portal hosted by RWTH Aachen University is a comprehensive scientific information platform focused on the effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF). It systematically consolidates research data, offering access to a vast literature database comprising more than 50,000 publications and more than 7,000 summaries of studies on EMF effects. The portal includes scientific literature on a wide range of EMF topics, such as mobile communications (including 5G and millimeter waves), population and experimental studies at different frequency ranges (static fields, low frequency, intermediate frequency, and radio frequency), and related technologies like power generation, electric vehicles, and medical applications. The collected data spans various research domains including genotoxicity, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, electromagnetic hypersensitivity, and cardiovascular effects, among others. It further provides detailed information about exposure sources (e.g., power lines, MRI devices, wireless chargers), effects on sensitive groups like children and young animals, and regulatory aspects such as limit values and risk communication strategies. Additionally, the portal offers tools for literature search with advanced query building, and features current news and publications relevant to EMF research. The EMF-Portal is managed by the femu working group at the Institute for Occupational, Social and Environmental Medicine of Uniklinik RWTH Aachen University and disseminates content bilingually in English and German. Its purpose is to support scientific evaluation and risk assessment related to electromagnetic field exposures, providing a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and the public.
