The International EMF Project, established by the WHO in 1996, evaluates the health and environmental effects of static and variable electric and magnetic fields in the frequency range of 0 to 300 GHz. Its objectives are risk assessment, the promotion of research, and the development of international safety standards.
The World Health Organization is in the process of assessing potential health effects of exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF EMF) in the general and working population. To this end, a series of systematic reviews investigating associations between exposure to RF EMF and various human health outcomes are being conducted. This Special Issue gathers these systematic reviews, presents the context of the work, and summarises important methodological information about the approaches taken.
